About

Tribal hunters from the north are employed to capture Mammoths going into the wild places that is their habitat. As such, mammoths and other beasts like Oolox are not an uncommon sight in the armies of men.

Mammoths are also used as a rarer alternative to the chariots used by ogres, though it is slower. Their immense bulk and thick hide can withstand almost anything that that the enemy can throw at them. In fact, these attacks only serve to enrage the Mammoth, making it even more dangerous as it thrashes and charges anything in sight.

Mammoth as a unit was first introduced in 2nd Edition for the Ogre faction and continued on in 3rd Edition. In Kings of War 3.1 - Uncharted Empires 3rd Edition Rules, the unit was introduced into the Kingdoms of Men faction and the League of Rhordia faction.
